Many developers enjoy working at Google. You get to allocate part of your week to personal creativity, developing whatever you want. Here's a video of a few Google developers promoting their Goog 411 service.
From a branding perspective I love this approach. It's so tech geek that it actually breaks through for me. And I'm writing about it, so it's viral. And for a billion dollar company like Google to take this approach is very zen.
